This is the cover of the upcoming vaistron trade paper back from SLG. The 3d is done in maya. The texture has been applied by camera projection (I'm a big fan of this technique for stills). The image has been retouched after rendering in photoshop. Mental ray is the rendering engine. I know it doesn't looks like the art that is inside but I don't care.

Actually it is an old one I did that I revamped.

I don't know where it should be posted 3d or 2d but anyway here it is.
