Maya, Photoshop
February 2008

This image was done in maya. The head got a mudbox lifting. The textures were done in photoshop. The background is Photoshop, ain't 3d. The smoke is maya fluids (2d) except the skulls, they were added after in photoshop. There are no fancy shaders or photon passes or whatever, raytracing only for reflections (1 ray bounce). Many passes. The renderer was maya software. Render dimensions 2475X3300.

It depicts Colonel Bitbruhn greeting the unfortunate Pit Toyuwo at the Keubrunik work camp. As we all learned in school, Pit Later escaped the work camp using his auto-bone breaking skills and his time machine in a cunning and unforeseen way. But before that he was grreted by Colonel Bitbruhn, known for his penetrating charisma.
